TCA Aircraft Testing Department. Jet/ turboprop/ large prop aircraft test report: Date of Report: Tested by: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION A: (Original FSFS aircraft details.) a) Aircraft name: TCA Yak40 b) Aircraft registration: CU-MSM c) Aircraft Filename: YAK40TCA.ZIP ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION B: (FS98 only aircraft file details.) a) Aircraft name: b) File name: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION C: (Criteria Tested) 1) Endurance (range)NM: 1450nm 2) Take-off distance(metres): 1300m Landing distance(metres): 500m 3) Rotation speed (Vr)(KIAS): a) Educated guess: 130 b) Calculated: 117 4) Climb: Best climb speed (KIAS/fpm): 250/2500fpm to 10000' 300/1000fpm to 20000' 5) Overspeed clacker sounds at(at cruise altitude)Mach number or KIAS: Mach 0.70 6) Behavior under AP(OK/Not OK). a) Speed AP. OK b) Altitude AP. OK c) Heading AP. See note 1 d) NAV1 AP. OK e) Back course AP. OK f) Approach AP. See Note 2 g) Autoland N/A 7) Speed @ 80% N1, FL310 (Mach number or KIAS). Mach 0.46 8) % N1 at recommended economic cruise speed: Mach 0.63 @ FL310 = 94% N1. 9) Stall speed (KIAS). a) 100% fuel: 100/90 b) 30% fuel: 91/83 10) Approach speed at 30% fuel(KIAS): 118 KIAS 11) Turns AP ON - (OK/Not OK): a) Level turns. See note 1 b) Climbing turns. OK c) Descending turns. Tends to dive! 12) Turns AP OFF - (OK/Not OK): a) Level turns. See note 3 b) Climbing turns. OK c) Descending turns. OK 13) Landing speed(KIAS): a) 30% fuel: 118 KIAS b) 15% fuel: 116 KIAS 14) Take-off with some engines out of service: Killed No2 engine @ 110 - less acceleration, but take-off and landing easy. With only No3 engine out - slight yaw but controllable. Take-off and landing easy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION D: NOTES/COMMENTS: 1) At 250 KIAs (at less than 10000') a/c does not trim correctly in AP turns, i.e. a/c descends and then recovers altitude when the turn is completed. On a test turn of 170° the a/c descended (sideslipped/fell) from 7500' to 4500'. 2) The a/c hunts the glideslope. Switch it off at 1000' and follow manually. 3) When turning manually, banking at 30°, bank angle increases slowly even though input is stopped.
